It feels like a good time to Rest, Digest & Connect. This could be a good opportunity to re-visit the posts that were already posted in the series. Sit with them once more. Read them again, with new eyes. Read them for the first time. Start to feel the connections between each post. It could also be a good time to just step away, and rest.

There will not be any new posts in the next few days, instead some of the older posts in the Re-Imagining Our Future Facebook Group will be re-activated with deeper connections and further reflections.

At the end of this post are invitations for people to get more engaged in the series if they feel called to do so.

Invitations

Open Invitations for:

illustrators/painters/artists/dancers/sculptors/actors/clowns etc. — to re-interpret each post in a different medium(s) to honor the multiple intelligences and give people a chance to creatively work with the ideas and information with their different intelligences.

  • Use your artistic skills to re-interpret a post(s)
  • Share with groups of people that might be interested (i.e. art school students, art-focused organizations etc.
  • Share the invitation with a friend that might be interested

mergers & mappers — to map the posts in the series until now to show the interconnections and to start developing a comprehensive, compassionate, systems view of the future. We encourage someone to do this digitally, so we can continuously, and collaboratively, add to it as new posts get released.

  • Share about softwares that might work
  • Generate the initial mapping with the first 12 posts
  • Share the invitation with a friend that might be interested

anchors — to initiate collaborative blog posts. Up until now I (dan) have been the ‘anchor author’ on all of the posts. Anybody who has contributed a post already to the series can be an anchor, which entails responding to the lead authors initial paragraphs and doing the initial editing. At this point, I will plan to do the final editing and posting of posts initiated by other anchors.

  • Become an anchor author
  • Share the invitation with a friend that might be interested

expanded leads & double anchors — to extend the pre-exisiting conversations. Anybody who has contributed a post already to the series can be an expanded lead. Simply, they would respond to the anchor author in the post that they have already submitted with another 3–4 paragraphs, and then reach out (or ask someone from the ROF team to reach out) and find a third voice (or double anchor) to add to the post.

  • Become an expanded lead

are there any other ways that you would like to get involved? ideas that you want to propose? we welcome any/all ideas …
